Play-Doh Modeling Compound 10-Pack
Ages 2–5 · Under $25
Prices change often — see the current price on the retailer's page.
Ten 2 oz cans of non-toxic modelling compound in assorted colours, with no tools or moulds included.
Best for
A younger child who already has the tools or doesn't need them, and a stocking or add-on rather than a main gift.
Why we picked it
Ten cans of modelling compound in assorted colours, which is the part that actually runs out in every Play-Doh household. There are no moulds or tools here, so what gets made is whatever the child decides, and it works equally well as a refill or a first introduction.
Every gift idea here must clear our criteria, and we tell you what to skip. If you buy through a link on this page, we may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you.

Skip it if
Skip it if you want a complete activity, since this is compound only with nothing to press or cut it with. It dries out if the lids aren't pressed on properly, and it does end up in carpet, so skip it for a household that would rather not deal with that.
